This book well exposes the chicken and egg situation of acquiring
your first PC. You will not be able to make an informed choice
until the contents of this book makes sense to you. The contents
of this book will not make sense to you until you have actually
used a PC in the way it says. No criticism of the author, the
same comments are true for driving a car. The book covers the
how to or starting field and the reference field that you need
to guide you when you are stuck. What we did not locate is the
tip to buy your computer from the supplier with the cheapest and
best after sales help line. There really is nothing you would
not be prepared to pay for bafflement to be turned into
enlightenment when a problem occurs so invest in support from
your supplier up front at the time of making your purchase.
