It is easy to be critical of a spiral bound book, three fifths of which consists of reprints of European Directives and which is highly priced. There are two points to be made. The target market for this book is company managers. Lawyers may find the book useful but more for quoting from than as a source of law. The author is a prolific writer. She writes well, ie up to the "Financial Times" standard, and what is in this book is important to managers in a company that trades in intellectual property. Most companies do trade in intellectual property without even realising it and £350 to find out how they can expand their business income and security is a small price to pay.
