The Made Simple books have an excellent format. The topics are all dealt with on one page, or at most a two-page spread. If appropriate, a series of numbered steps are provided. Working through the steps and pages teaches by doing. Each page is a simple step to teach a simple thing. Being software specific what you see in the book is what you get on the screen. From that base the reader may build his skill level up to whatever is required. As with most things the first few steps are the hardest and these books certainly make them simpler.
