Patents ( on the better mousetrap analogy) are not too difficult
to understand. Patents for intellectual property inventions (and
that includes computer software( are a somewhat harder concept
to follow. The book is intended to take the inventor some way
towards the practice of a patent Agent in order that he may
maximise the various benefits that can be obtained from his
patents. Not a legal textbook and with a Preface dated 29 april
1995, prior to anything really worthwhile being able to be said
on software patents. Does bring over the patent concept very
well though and that is essential for the exploitation of patents
of all kinds.
