The physics of magnetic recording one of concern to the computer designer and of interest to the computer user who wishes to have more than a superficial interest in the resolution of the problems he encounters. This book, although written as an ungraduate text book, does not express itself in a technical or mathematical way so is of interest to the lay reader. We particularly liked the coverage of the theoretical and commercially possible possibilities as indicators of the direction in which products may be developed in the future. This book is not restricted to the types of magnetic recording used with computers.
