FAQ stands for Frequently Asked Questions. The basis of the questions are those put to Compaq, a computer manufacturer. This gives the selection more of a hardware bias that in most computer FAQ books. Also the Editor has structured the questions in a textbook manner and they lead on from one to another. On balance we find the approach useful. Few read computer books cover to cover but dip in for problem solutions here and there. We liked the thread of explanations this book provided.
